I must admit, I'm sad to see summer go. Seeing posts of autumn nail inspo and the nights getting dark earlier, and the temperature dropping has me reluctantly saying goodbye to summer.
I'm not one of the people that looks forward to the colder months except maybe the fact that I'll be saving more money because I won't want to go anywhere 😅
However, I do enjoy the A/W fashion so maybe that saved money is spent updating my wardrobe 😅
As we prepare for the cosier nights, I thought I'd take a look at the expected nail trends for autumn and see which ones I'd be keen to try.
I'm happy to see that this is still here to stay. As much of a pain as using chrome can be, I love using chrome and can't wait to create designs using darker colours. And tbh, I'll probably be using chrome regardless of whether it's a trend or not.
I love chocolate brown nails but as someone with darker skin, I can struggle to find a brown that complements my skintone. Thankfully, Mylee released a new nude range of gel polishes to cover all skintones and I've picked up some shades that I believe will suit a wide range of skintones, including my own.
In the same way autumn means I'll be bringing out the matte lipsticks, I'll also be bringing out my matte top coat more frequently.
Dark colours
I'm a sucker for a dark green or burgundy or rust. Those are the colours I'm more inclined to choose for the colder months when picking an outfit so having my nails to match is always a mood.
I do thankfully have a holiday coming up so I can still do one more bright summer nail design for myself before moving to more autumn/winter appropriate designs. If you'd like to know when the autumn/winter appropriate designs are available to buy, be sure to follow me on my socials to be the first to know when they're available.
Which nail trends are you looking forward to? Let me know which trends you'll be trying out?
